Operational Analytics vs BI: A new world of data

As data engineers, we’re constantly working to keep up with rapid changes to the data stack and ever-moving stakeholder expectations. In the past, this hustle has come to a head with BI, which has struggled to integrate new data and been analysis heavy. Olya Tanner is a customer data architect at Census. When she’s not taking Twitter by storm as the company’s resident data meme queen, Olya helps Census’s customers operationalize their data, one query at a time. Before joining Census, Olya worked as a director of data and analytics at WAVE.tv and as a senior manager of customer success at Google. She is based in Los Angeles, CA.
