Building a BI Solution in the Cloud for a Startup

Starting with a clean slate and building something from scratch can be liberating, but also daunting. Freshful by eMAG launched as a new business project from the Romanian ecommerce company, with the goal of delivering fresh groceries to people’s doors. We approached it as a startup with an infrastructure that harnesses the power of the cloud.

Marius Costin

Marius Costin started at eMAG IT Research in 2016 as a DWH Developer. In 2017, the team decided that it was time to revamp eMAG’s data warehouse, so I accepted the position of DWH architect, which I held until May 2021. In May, a new opportunity and challenge presented itself: creating a BI infrastructure for a Freshful by eMAG on AWS.
