Frequently Asked Questions
Is Subsurface virtual or in person?
Subsurface World Tour 2025 will be an in person only event this year. We will be announcing our Subsurface Virtual Day at a later date.
Who can attend?
If you are not a current or prospective Dremio customer, you can apply to attend. Customers and prospective customers are automatically accepted to attend in-person. Unfortunately, if you are a student, consultant, or currently not working we will not be able to accept your registration. We will have set aside a certain amount of tickets for partners and key community members. Everyone will be conditionally approved. If there is a concern or issue with your registration the event team will reach out to you.
Our virtual event, which will be happening later this year, is welcome to everyone!
Why should I attend?
You’ll learn from peers who are implementing or managing lakehouse architectures to meet their organizations’ data analytics needs. You’ll learn from practitioners who are solving common data management and analytics challenges, including data optimization, self-service analytics, and data governance. You’ll also gain firsthand insights on important analytics topics including Apache Iceberg and other Open Table Formats, Data Ops, Analytics, Cost Optimization, Data Mesh and Data Fabric architectures, the role of Gen AI in analytics and much more!
How much does Subsurface cost?
Subsurface is a complimentary event to approved registrations.
Will Subsurface WorldTour be recorded?
Subsurface sessions in all cities but New York will not be recorded and can only be enjoyed in person. Key sessions in New York will be recorded and streamed during the virtual event.
Will there be exhibitors?
Yes. There will be key partners exhibiting at each city. This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest industry innovations, participate in live demos, and ask questions.
What about SWAG and PRIZES?
Of course! What would our event be without some GNARLY swag? We look forward to seeing you in person to get some exclusive swag.
